Kurt Zouma has liked Fabrizio Romano’s Instagram post that reports West Ham United are close to signing Konstantinos Mavropanos.
The Italian journalist posted on Instagram his typical ‘Here We Go’ to Konstantinos Mavropanos closing on a move to West Ham United.
It’s claimed that David Moyes’ side will sign the former Arsenal player for ‘£17 million’, with a possible addition of ‘£5 million’.
Of course, all summer long, there were suggestions that the Hammers were going to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United, but that’s now off.
Of course, Maguire has more experience than Mavropanos, but the latter is the cheaper deal.
West Ham spending Declan Rice’s money
There was a delay in Declan Rice initially securing a transfer to Arsenal and then West Ham themselves took their time bringing players in.
But from James Ward-Prowse to Edson Alvarez, the players are starting to come in and that Rice money is now being spent pretty well.
Someone like Mavropanos will fit in at the London Stadium because of his hard-hitting and aggressive style, as well as his ability to defend his own penalty box, with Ian Wright previously calling the player ‘fearless’.
