Leeds United squad revealed for Ipswich as Joel Piroe
A look at the options Daniel Farke has at his disposal for this afternoon’s trip to Portman Road
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has seen his options bolstered for his side’s trip to face Ipswich Town this afternoon.
The Whites head to Suffolk still searching for their first Championship win of the season and will take on a Tractor Boys side that have won all three of their matches so far this term to take an early lead at the top of the table.
It’s been a challenging start to the campaign for Leeds and Farke, with exits, injuries and wantaway players, but Thursday night’s signing of Joel Piroe, encouraging noises concerning further acquisitions, plus the return to the squad of Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra, it feels as though the tide is turning.
As such, we should see a much more healthy-looking matchday squad than we’ve seen in recent weeks, where filling the bench, even with multiple goalkeepers, has not been possible.
At the time of writing, Leeds are awaiting Piroe’s work permit and international clearance, but should they come through, he will likely at least travel with the squad and be a potential opinion from the bench.
Here is a list of the players available to Daniel Farke this weekend.
Leeds United potential squad for Ipswich Town: Meslier, Ayling, Ampadu, Cresswell, Piroe, Klaesson, Rodon, Shackleton, Gyabi, Greenwood, Struijk, Gray, Sinisterra, Rutter, Byram, Bate, Darlow, Gnonto, Gelhardt, Hjelde, Drameh
