According to sources, Jannik Vestergaard, a defender for Leicester City, is still negotiating to leave the organization this summer.
According to Belgian writer Sacha Tavolieri, the player and Anderlecht have held “talks.”
It’s only unclear whether they’re trying to transfer permanently from Leicester City or whether they’re just trying to get a loan from them, with the latter making far more sense.
Tavolieri claims that no personal terms have yet been agreed upon, indicating that the negotiations are still in their early stages.
However, there are still two days left to complete the transfer because the Belgian transfer window ends on Wednesday.
Since Vestergaard has started every game for Leicester City in the Championship thus far, losing him now would be a major setback for the Foxes, who won’t be able to replace him until January.
However, the 31-year-old’s contract with the team only lasts through the end of the current campaign, giving him the option to leave for free the following summer.
Transfermarkt has put his price at €4 million right now, and the English demands will be seen.
