Ethan Ampadu thinks that the decision to leave Chelsea was made at the correct time and that he has no regrets about his tumultuous career path.

This summer, the Welshman left Stamford Bridge after six years and moved to Leeds United for an estimated £7 million.
He has so far established himself as a key player in the early going of the season, appearing in each of Leeds’ five games under manager Daniel Farke, who will undoubtedly be trying to orchestrate a return to the top tier despite a shaky start that has produced one win and three draws.
“I feel good,” Ampadu said. “I’m enjoying being settled. I gave my all in each of the loans and I was focused on developing and becoming a better player.

“But maybe in the back of your mind when you know you are settled somewhere and you’re not on loan, there are little things you can improve on.

However, having been largely overlooked by five previous managers, he feels a new chapter was sorely needed for him to kick on.
