Former Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has opened up on his lack of club football in recent seasons as he explained his decision to join Danish side AGF Aarhus on loan for the 2023-24 campaign.

Since leaving Elland Road in 2019, the only regular minutes at club level have come during his 2021-22 loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday, who were then in League One, although he has continued to rack up international appearances, winning his 41st cap for Northern Ireland on Sunday, in their 1-0 defeat to Kazakhstan.

The Burnley goalkeeper moved to Denmark last month and is now playing for former Leeds manager Uwe Rosler. He recently spoke about his decision to transfer abroad.
“Club level has not been amazing and there’s been inconsistencies in terms of game time,” the 26-year-old told PA. “I’m just trying to rectify the club level now, that’s the aim this year.”
Peacock-Farrell’s international appearances outnumber his outings for Leeds and currently club Burnley, with the stopper earning the trust of his last two international managers.
