Newcastle United extend Callum Wilson’s contract for another year!

Before their match against Brentford this weekend and their Champions League campaign, Newcastle United has gained momentum. Callum Wilson, a striker, has agreed to a one-year extension of his existing contract. He will so remain at St. James’ Park to the end of June 2025. For the Magpies, this is a wise piece of business because it provides excellent experience and insurance for the future. Wilson is a consistent goal scorer and, despite the influx of players over the past two years, has continued to be a favorite of manager Eddie Howe.

Eddie Howe salutes game-changer Callum Wilson following ...

Fans of the team, who hope to build on a challenging start to the season, will be pleased with the news that their club’s leading scorer in each of the previous three seasons will be joining them. Only one of their first four games has been won; it was the opening weekend thrashing of Aston Villa. Newcastle is starting a crucial part of their season as they enter the group stage of the Champions League. With Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan in their group, they have a difficult assignment to advance.

Callum Wilson Agrees to an Extension

I’m thrilled to prolong my stay here, Wilson said on the club’s official website after signing the new contract. It’s a great soccer team. Since the moment I walked through the door, I’ve felt welcomed, and the club is currently on a great journey, so it’s amazing to commit my future to being a part of it. It would be amazing to add my name to the list of legendary goal scorers who have worn the number nine during my time at Newcastle. There have been so many great names before me.

Of course, Eddie Howe was fully aware of Wilson’s potential. When the opportunity presented itself, the manager brought the striker on board because he had played under him when in charge of Bournemouth.

“He’s an exceptional person and a phenomenal football player, and I’m thrilled he’ll be staying with us longer. I’ve never seen Callum not motivated to score goals because of his incredible drive. That’s fantastic for a striker, in my opinion.

Unchanged from Fulham for Manchester City’s predicted lineup vs. West Ham?

On September 16, when they play West Ham United, Manchester City will travel to London. Unsurprisingly, Manchester City has won four of four games in the Premier League this season and is yet to lose. However, West Ham, who are fourth in the table and are winless, shouldn’t be discounted. Our expected starting lineup for Manchester City’s match versus the Hammers comes from the Premier League.

Ederson will get the ball against West Ham, which is not surprising. Recently, the Brazilian received a nomination for 2023’s Best FIFA Men’s Keeper.

The starting right-back position should go to Kyle Walker, who just extended his contract with Man City. Nathan Ake, Ruben Dias, and Manuel Akanji will make up the remaining members of the back line. It’s extremely amazing to boast that your complete backline represented very reputable footballing nations over the break while playing international football.

Bernardo Silva and Rodri will undoubtedly play in the midfield. Mateo Kovacic is still recovering from a knock and is not expected to play in this game. Even though Julian Alvarez will be playing in what resembles a midfield position, he will frequently enter the attack as a striker. Since Kevin De Bruyne won’t be available until 2024, Pep Guardiola will first employ an unusual midfield.

Phil Foden and youngster Jeremy Doku, who started against Fulham, will fill out the wings. It is not difficult to determine who will start in the top position for Man City. Erling Haaland, who has a great chance to win the Best FIFA Men’s Player award,

will serve as the team’s quarterback once more for City.

City of Manchester Ederson, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Manuel Ankanji, Nathan Ake, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku, and Erling Haaland are the predicted starters.
