Expectations were high going into Derby County because he departed with a reputation as the top 16-year-old talent in England, at least in the Rams’ view.
However, it should be clear that Gordon still has a bright future in the red part of Merseyside at the age of 18.
It’s terrible that he will be sidelined by another problem until October, but maybe it will be the last one for a time, allowing him to resume his career.
