Eddie Howe has since confirmed the £38 million summer signing will be out until around January……..

There are usually plenty of social media antics when Newcastle United is having success. The humorous teammate teasing by two Magpies this week has been no different.

Harvey Barnes posted on social media while on the sidelines to express his love and gratitude for the United supporters for sticking by him during his injury.

When he sustained a foot injury 11 minutes into the game against Sheffield United, the winger was making only his second start for the Magpies.

Eddie Howe has since confirmed the £38 million summer signing will be out until around January.

Howe predicted that the man would be out of commission for around three months. “The good news is that no surgery was necessary, but his foot is currently in a boot. He has a wound beneath his toe, and he is already beginning to heal.

“I believe he will be quite sedated for a while because he needs to rest and give his body every chance to recover, and then we have to build him up gradually,” the doctor said.

In addition, Barnes posted a giveaway to his Instagram after Newcastle defeated PSG in the Champions League.

What an outcome from last night, he wrote. I appreciate all of your help during my injury. A pair of boots used during a signed match are up for grabs! To terminate the draw, simply like and suggest a friend in the comments. The winner will be revealed on Thursday, October 12th.

A lovely gesture from the ex-Leicester man, however the attention has been quickly turned away from the post itself due to a certain duo making a cameo in the comments section.

In a hilarious attempt to win the boots, Sean Longstaff jokedly tagged teammate Jacob Murphy in the post. Murphy, a local prankster in Newcastle, responded with a string of emoticons depicting laughing and sobbing faces.

Now, I’m certain that Longstaff only needs to inquire whether he genuinely wants a pair of Harvey Barnes match-used boots.
