Young Aston Villa player Rory Wilson called Alex Lowry and Leon King of Rangers “top class” following the recent triumph of Scotland U21s over Malta.
Scott Gemmill’s team won both of their Euro 2025 qualifying games at Fir Park with the help of the 17-year-old and the two Light Blues players.
And Wilson, a product of the Ibrox academy, was nothing but complimentary of the two men.
“You can see the quality Alex and Leon have; they are both top notch,” he remarked. Simply put, Leon is unfazed by anything.
“He’s a top player who handles it brilliantly.”
Wilson transferred from Rangers to the Premier League squad in July and has already had a huge impact on a number of junior teams.

The striker currently trains daily with the Aston Villa U18s and believes that the caliber of the players has helped him improve his skills.
We have a tremendously great team, he continued. “I need to keep working hard and give it my all if I have the chance.
“There is no doubt that the caliber is top notch, especially with the first team. There are top-tier athletes everywhere.

“Because you are spending the first time away from your family, it took me a little while to adjust at first.
However, you adjust to it. You must move forward and accept it with grace.
