Philippe Clement was really delighted with the 24-year-old Rangers player during practice.

It will be Rangers’ debut game under new manager Philippe Clement.

Just a few days ago, Clement was named the manager of the Rangers.

During training this week, the former manager of AS Monaco was impressed by Danilo.

This Monday, the forward, 24, returned to practice while wearing a mask.

Danilo was hurt versus St Johnstone, breaking his cheekbone.

The Brazilian attacker is back in the gym, though, and according to Clement, the new Rangers boss, he is prepared to face Hibernian this weekend.

“Yeah he’s adapting,” Clement was cited as saying by RangersReview. “It’s his first time with a mask which is always new.Every player responds differently, but you can see that every day he gains more self-assurance.

Danilo is expected to play this weekend, according to Clement, and we will likely need him.

My View: Danilo a big player for Rangers

Danilo is a key player for Rangers in my opinion.

It is clear what Clement thinks of the Brazilian by his desire to start the forward in his first game in command of Rangers.

During the 2023 summer, Danilo transferred to Rangers.

The 24-year-old has performed admirably for the Ibrox club thus far this season, in my opinion.

For Rangers this season, Danilo has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership.

In those contests, the forward has two goals.

With 15 points from eight games, Rangers is now second in the Scottish Premiership rankings.

The Gers are seven points off of Celtic’s lead.
