Rangers idol declares on social media that he will return to managing after just one month, “I will be back.”………

Nacho Novo, a former Rangers player, has abruptly left USL League One team Lexington SC, less than a month after accepting his first managerial position.

The Gers idol replaced close friend Sam Stockley, who stepped down to focus on his role as sporting director, as head coach of the Kentucky-based team known as the “boys in green” four weeks ago.

Before taking the reins of the third-tier club in the United States, Novo had a brief stint as an assistant coach and under-23s manager. However, the Spaniard was unable to improve their position in the 12-team league as they finished ninth overall after losing two and drawing three of their five games under his management.

And after a disastrous start to his term, the 44-year-old former striker has made the decision to leave his position. On Instagram, he wrote: “Well, today I bid Lexington adieu. The season was successful. Many thanks to the players and spectators. Regards for the upcoming season.

“Thanks everyone for your support,” Novo wrote in the caption of a photo of him celebrating a goal during his playing days at Ibrox. I’m coming back.
