Kamaldeen Sulemana at Southampton has “not done” what he should have done…….

With Southampton aiming for an early return to the Premier League, Kamaldeen Sulemana is still without a goal for the year.

After stifling interest during the summer transfer window, Kamaldeen Sulemana is expected to do huge things for Southampton.
Earlier this year, the winger signed a club record deal with Saints after leaving French side Rennes.
Reputable reporter Dean Jones believes Sulemana is under pressure to deliver the goods for Russell Martin’s team because of his price tag.

Though journalist Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT that Southampton star Kamaldeen Sulemana needs to ‘come through with the goals that matter’ as Saints continue their quest for an instant return to the Premier League, the winger’s lack of form might be ‘encouraging’ at St Mary’s.

Sulemana signed a £22 million deal from Rennes during the January transfer window earlier this year, making him the most expensive acquisition in the south coast club’s history. However, he was unable to prevent relegation to the Championship.

Following an initial compensation issue involving former employers Swansea City, Russell Martin took over the dugout during the summer. The Ghanaian international is now expected to play a major role in Southampton’s efforts to reclaim their top flight status.

Sulemana is looking to bounce back as the Saints reject interest.
Sulemana stayed on Southampton’s books despite Everton’s last-ditch efforts to bring him back to the Premier League in the final hours of the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. The move fell through because of Sulemana’s £30 million price tag.

Many in the Paris Theatre du Chatelet expressed their disapproval by booing as footage of Martinez’s now-famous save was shown on the big screen. When Drogba questioned the South American goalie, “Was that the save of your life, and do you still have that in your mind every day?” he was also drowned out.

Martinez answered the question, but Drogba had to step in because a few agitated spectators continued to cause problems. Speaking in French, the legendary Chelsea player—who is also among the most well-known African football players of all time—asked those making the noise to “please, please, respect.” View the entire clip here:

During Martinez’s statement, you may have seen that the camera briefly centered on France’s captain Kylian Mbappe and head coach Didier Deschamps. Mbappe was the second player in history to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final, but France ultimately fell short to Argentina’s Messi-led squad. It must be difficult and unpleasant for everyone connected to the France national team to watch back that save.
