Shortlists for League One include Mousinho and Shaughnessy.
Conor Shaughnessy and John Mousinho have both received recognition for Pompey’s outstanding play in October.
Both players are on the shortlists for the Player of the Month and Manager of the Month prizes in Sky Bet League One.
The Blues, led by Mousinho, the September Prize winner, finished the season undefeated and at the top of the table with 13 points from five games.
In addition, defender Shaughnessy was a standout player on the field, helping to maintain a streak of clean sheets while also scoring game-winning goals in stoppage time against the Chairboys and Cumbrians.
To keep the trophy, Mousinho will need to defeat rivals Darrell Clarke of Cheltenham, Neill Collins of Barnsley, and Ian Evatt of Bolton.
Shaughnessy is nominated with Jordan Gibson of Carlisle, Luke Leahy of Wycombe, and Alfie May of Charlton.
The judging panels, which consist of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL chief executive Trevor Birch, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies, will announce the winners on Friday.
