Club from Queensland withdraws from the Jarome Luai race….

Jarome Luai, a three-time premiership winner, is still one of the biggest free agents available, thus the Gold Coast Titans have withdrawn from the competition.

With three championship rings with the Panthers, Luai is a representative of New South Wales and Samoa. He will be unrestricted at the conclusion of 2024 and is anticipated to be one of the most sought-after signings in the free agency market.

Since all players have until November 1 to negotiate with rival teams, and all players’ contracts expire at the end of 2024, it was widely believed that the Titans would try to sign Jarome Luai.

Des Hasler was questioned about whether Luai would be the Gold Coast Titans’ top recruit during his first media conference as head coach.

He swiftly interrupted any schemes to entice Luai to the Gold Coast in response.

“Have you seen our press appearances? That must be your response, Hasler stated through the Herald.

“I don’t have to respond to that question; after three grand finals, it’s clear that he’s undergoing negotiations.

“I’ll only say that it’s a big, big decision to leave Penrith; everything else is just conjecture.”

“Players who perform at that level, such as Kieran Foran, contribute experience. They are exceptional traits that have effect, and you can only acquire them by being as long as Kieran has been in the game.

AJ Brimson and Jayden Campbell, on the other hand, might be the front-runners to replace Kieran Foran in the second half, as Hasler has hinted that a move for Luai is unlikely.

Thomas Weaver, a talented playmaker who is coming through the ranks at the club, will also sign a contract extension for the upcoming year.

By the end of 2024, Kieran Foran is anticipated to put up his boots.
