Reading FC manager on Ballard upon his Southampton comeback……

With Dom Ballard likely to miss a significant amount of time due to injury, Reading manager Ruben Selles has stated that the team will “be here for anything he needs.”

The 18-year-old, who broke his patella tendon on Saturday at Wycombe Wanderers, will not play for Reading again until he recovers from his knee injury.

Ballard made his professional debut this season in 12 appearances, with the England Under-19 star scoring five goals.Selles gave the teenager his breakthrough performance while in charge at Southampton.

“The good news, if there is anything good with that, is that there is no more damage on the knee, so only the patella,” Selles said, expressing his affection for the young forward. We are coordinating with Southampton to get ready for his surgery and the following steps. Both as a player and a boy, he is amazing. It is unfortunate that we cannot use him for the role, but he will have a very successful career.

as you can see, he is crucial to us for the remainder of the season. We hope that he recovers quickly and is able to continue playing for the next fifteen years. We’re going to be available for him in any way.”
