Heartbreaking: Brentford, FC has finally sacked their…..

We’ve already examined Newcastle United’s victory over Manchester United; now, let’s focus on the final four Premier League games this Saturday.

This Scout Notes article covers the main Fantasy Premier League (FPL) talking points from the games at Brentford, Burnley, Nottingham Forest, and Arsenal.

Bryan Mbeumo (£7.1 million), who had been hailed as a 90-minute player on these pages and elsewhere, almost certainly lost against Luton Town.

The winger was replaced for the first time in 2023–24 during the 77th minute of Brentford’s 3–1 triumph on Saturday.

He was replaced as part of a double substitution, and in the post-match interviews, there was no mention of an injury. The Athletic’s Jay Harris additionally

stated that even before Luton cut the lead in half, at 2-1, the substitution had been prearranged. To ensure that his departure was not due to any malicious intent, it will be worthwhile to watch Thomas Frank’s pre-match press conference, which is scheduled for either Monday or Tuesday.

Against Luton’s low block, Mbeumo had one of his less productive games, but he still managed four shots (including that signature whipped effort after cutting in from the right side) and claimed credit for setting up Ben Mee’s (£4.8 million) goal from a corner.

Neal Maupay (£4.9m) scored his third goal in three appearances since returning to west London, and Yoane Wissa (£5.9m) put on a better performance but neither scored nor assisted.

The superb Christian Norgaard (£5.4 million) received his fifth booking of the season and will miss Wednesday’s game at the Amex, which is a major benefit for Brighton and Hove Albion ahead of Gameweek 15. Due to a foot injury, Kristoffer Ajer (£4.5 million) had to leave the warm-up. He will be evaluated further in the interim, making the Bees even less strong at full back.
