As we approach Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season, here’s a look at the first-round order for the 2024 NFL Draft and the top five needs for each team. With schedule strength serving as the first tiebreaker, the order is decided by record (the complete list of draft-order tiebreakers may be seen here). Remember that the teams listed below are designated as PL (short for playoffs) in the order that they would make the playoffs if the season ended today. The outcomes of postseason play influence the playoff clubs’ selection order.

As a result of the Montez Sweat acquisition and deal, one pass rusher is guaranteed to play through 2024. However, since Rasheem Green⻿ and Yannick Ngakoue have not regularly pressured quarterbacks this season and are set to become free agents, Chicago will probably need to select another edge defender in the first half of the draft.

This season, the Cardinals have relied heavily on their youthful secondary, as 2023 choices Garrett Williams and Kei’Trel Clark, along with undrafted rookie Starling Thomas V, have all seen substantial snaps. But the team’s goal should be to find a true stopper outside, and Arizona has the resources to do it with six picks during the first two days of the draft.

Together, DeAndre Hopkins and Will Levis are developing this year with the goal of becoming a formidable duo in 2024. With reliable veterans Chris Moore and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine on expiring contracts and former first-round choice Treylon Burks failing to live up to his initial billing, the rest of the receiver group’s composition is still unknown.
