Mason Crosby, a kicker, joined the Rams’ practice squad.

For the first time in his 17-year career, Mason Crosby is making a comeback to the NFL and will be kicking for a team other than the Green Bay Packers.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams revealed that 39-year-old Crosby has joined their practice squad. The franchise plans to promote him to the NFL roster at some time, according to Mike Garafalo of NFL Network.

After going 25-for-29 on field goal attempts with the Packers in the previous season, Crosby has not participated in any games. Though he didn’t make an impression on the Rams, New Orleans Saints, or New York Giants at the time, he did participate in workouts with them earlier in the season. After Brett Maher was traded to Los Angeles, Lucas Havrisik was signed; however, in his last two games, Havrisik has missed two field goals and an extra point.
Sean McVay, the head coach of the Rams, had voiced trust in Havrisik as the solution to their kicking problems. It appears that confidence has vanished.

Havrisik will stay with the Rams for the time being, but things could change based on how Crosby practices this week. Before Crosby has to be formally signed to the active roster, he can be promoted three times.
After the 2017 season, the Packers traded for Crosby, a 2007 sixth-round selection, and selected Anders Carlson in the sixth round of the 2023 draft.
As the all-time highest scorer for the Packers (1,918), Crosby was a member of the squad that won the Super Bowl in 2011.

On Sunday, the Eagles offensive line performed admirably against a formidable 49ers defensive line.
Simply put, there wasn’t much offensive success as a result.
Offensive coach Brian Johnson stated, “I would assess that the offensive line did a fantastic job in pass protection all evening against an excellent front.” I think Lane Johnson deserves a lot of praise for his performance in that Sunday night’s game, which including blocking Nick Bosa, one of the league’s top players.

When you view that movie again, it’s truly amazing to see how those guys kept everyone safe all night long. They performed a fantastic job.

Even though Hurts was ultimately sacked three times, it’s difficult to blame the offensive line for that. According to ProFootballFocus, Hurts’ average throw time during this game was 3.85 seconds. In the NFL, that is an eternity.
That is, in fact, Hurts’ longest throw over the previous two seasons.
That exaggerated statistic was undoubtedly caused in part by Hurts’ hesitancy, but it was also evident that some of it was merely superb defense against the offensive line. The Eagles MVP candidate didn’t have the best game.
