Philippe Clement striker decision……….

The starting lineup for Rangers’ match against Dundee at Ibrox has been announced by Philippe Clement.
The Light Blues enter the Govan game fresh from a valiant triumph over Hearts in the capital during the week under the lights, with Abdallah Sima emerging as the winner once more. Last weekend, he hit a double to beat St. Mirren at this field, and on Wednesday night, he was on target again, racing through onto a pass played by James Tavernier to get past Zander Clark.

Although it was Clement’s third win over Steven Naismith in his brief tenure in Glasgow, it came at a price, with Danilo and Tom Lawrence suffering injuries that would likely keep them out for a long time. It’s a packed calendar, starting next week with Real Betis in a Europa League final in Seville and the Viaplay Cup Final versus Aberdeen at Hampden. Next there is the minor issue of Celtic vs. Brendan Rodgers’ Old Firm clash, which takes place at the end of the month and has the potential to significantly impact the title race. Prior to this one, Clement made the following statement: “From what I have observed during games, we could have achieved better outcomes than we have.” The team is making progress because we’re creating many of opportunities every game, scoring well, and maintaining multiple clean sheets. Although some players have come and gone, everyone is aware of the situation and knows what to do for themselves. In that regard, the squad is headed for significant improvement and advancement.

“The boys who played recover the day following the game, and they also receive massages, cryotherapy, and treatment. In addition, they ride and work out, using specific workouts to build muscle in areas that they haven’t used as much during the game.

“It’s tactical training the day after, before they go home and rest so they’re ready for the next game.”
RANGER XI: Cifuentes, Cantwell, Matondo, Sima, Dessers, Butland, Tavernier, Souttar, Balogun, Barisic, Lundstram.
