In Week 14 Eagles have taken a dangerous decision on…

Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season saw the continuation of three trends: CBS continues to be the most watched network in the league, Prime Video continues to grow by double digits from 2022, and the Philadelphia Eagles continue to be one of the top draws in the league.

Eagles' A.J. Brown Owns Costly Mistake as 'Bad Decision'

The number of viewers for the Eagles’ Sunday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on NBC fell short of what many, myself included, had anticipated. However, according to NBC’s Total Audience Delivery measure, the game averaged 26.3 million viewers across NBC and Peacock channels. That makes it both the most watched December SNF game since a Giants-Cowboys game in 2016 and the highest watched game of the weekend. In the last six weeks, this is also the fifth Eagles game to draw in more than 26 million viewers. Philadelphia’s bye in Week 10 was the lone exception.

This season, the NFL on CBS has also maintained its incredible run. A hair under the NBC average for SNF, the Bills’ stunning victory against the Chiefs in the national game of the week with an average viewership of 26.044 million. The 49ers vs. Eagles game on Fox last week saw a lower average, but the national window for Week 14 of last year saw a higher average.

With 14 weeks completed, CBS’s average viewership for the NFL is at 19.483 million (a high point since 1998), while the network’s national window has a league-high 24.853 million people.

With Jaguars vs. Browns as the main event, the four- gamregional window on CBS averaged 15.025 million viewers. This is more than the first half of the doubleheader from both previous year and this week.

Fox featured a five-game slate of singleheader games, with the 49ers and Seahawks facing off against the Chiefs and Bills. The window drew 17.03 million viewers on average, down from the singleheader on CBS last year but up from the one on CBS last week.

Thursday Night Football on Prime Video produced another double-digit increase. 10.71 million viewers watched the Patriots triumph over the Steelers on average, down from last week but up 30% from the previous year. This season, TNF is averaging 12.42 million viewers, up 30% from the full-season average and 29% from the average through the same number of games last year. With three games remaining in the current season, it is likely that TNF will surpass the 2022 season by a wide margin.Thursday Night Football on Prime Video produced another double-digit increase. 10.71 million viewers watched the Patriots triumph over the Steelers on average, down from last week but up 30% from the previous year.
