JUST IN: injury report for Eagles vs. Seahawks

injury report for Eagles vs. Seahawks

Head Coach Nick Sirianni rewrote the script, hosting a full practice to begin the week rather than a walkthrough, with one more day before Monday night’s matchup in Seattle.

Sirianni stated on Thursday that “everything is fluid in attempts to get better.” We have an opportunity to improve because we need to go out there and focus on our foundations, in my opinion. The year is almost over. Sometimes this opportunity doesn’t present itself until later in the year since you have to strike a balance between resting and playing at a new level while still being intellectually and physically prepared.”

Three Eagles players (cornerback Darius Slay; knee), guard Cam Jurgens (pectoral), and linebacker Zach Cunningham (knee) did not practice on Thursday.

Due to a concussion, safety Reed Blankenship had to leave the game early on Sunday night. He was only partially active on Thursday.

After the injury, rookie safety Sydney Brown, who replaced Blankenship on the field, expressed his excitement at having Reed back. “I was thrilled to have the chance. All I had to do was make sure I continued where he left off and fill in the shoes. I know he didn’t want to leave that game, so it will be amazing to see him do his thing now that he is back.”

Before playing again, Blankenship would need to pass the NFL’s concussion protocol.
