Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers will always be associated with each other. Together, the two experienced eighteen years of togetherness, numerous division crowns, a championship, and an amazing amount of memories. When Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on the opening play of the season, the majority of Packers supporters were devastated. You never want to witness an injury, even though supporters might not have wanted to see him win a Super Bowl somewhere else.

Fans and commentators have been speculating about whether Rodgers will return this season, next season, or at some point in his career for the entire season. Despite Rodgers’ insistence on playing again this season, it doesn’t appear that he will. He made a statement today on his overall future with the New York Jets.

Aaron Rodgers, a former quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, announces his future with the New York Jets

The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov claims that:

In Week 1, Aaron Rodgers caught him sprinting onto the field while holding the American flag.

“I won’t always be pictured wearing a Jets jersey like that. We shall rise again, for the darkness is always darkest before the light.

It’s obvious that Rodgers is determined to play for the Jets again the following season and win a championship.

Head coach Robert Saleh said reporters on Monday that “Aaron wants to play,” as ESPN’s Rich Cimini reported.

Although the team’s performance against the Dolphins probably had a significant impact, Rodgers needs to be reinstated off of injured reserve by Wednesday in order to play this season, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday.

After being cleared to practice on Nov. 29, ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced on Saturday he would likely be cleared for practice “this upcoming week.” Rodgers’ long-term health is at risk if he rushes back to practice when the Jets are already out of the playoff picture.
