Dallas Cowboys' Brandin Cooks Reveals Injury Update for New York Jets: 'No Limitations ... If!' - FanNation Dallas Cowboys News, Analysis and More

To add insult to injury following the Dallas Cowboys’ humiliating Week 15 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the team is now concerned about the health of a few more players who were injured during the game.

RG Zack Martin, S Donovan Wilson, and LB Damone Clark were among those who lost at least some playing time due to injuries. Micah Parsons was also temporarily shaken up early in the game.

As a small consolation, Cowboys supporters received some good news on Martin’s status from head coach Mike McCarthy. Martin was forced out of the game in the second half after suffering what was described as a “quad” injury as a result of a powerful shot to the knee.

However, the All-Pro offensive guard appears to be “fine,” and the staff seemed to be less concerned than they were initially.

Although the organization has yet to announce a concrete timeline for Martin’s return, that’s about as encouraging an update as Cowboys supporters can expect for from someone as essential as No. 70.

Martin also stated that he intends to play next Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, according to Nick Harris of DallasCowboys.com.

Martin sat on the sidelines with a wrap on his injured thigh moments before he was officially ruled out. One has to wonder if the Cowboys would have considered using him if the game had been closer.

For the time being, all that remains is to wait. The Cowboys were humiliated in Buffalo, demonstrating once again that they have a lot to prove on the road, an area in which they’ll need to considerably improve if they want to be considered serious Super Bowl contenders, as they’re more likely to be a Wild Card club.
