Aaron Rodgers’ debut with the New York Jets got off to the worst possible start. Rodgers was injured on the first possession and had to leave the game.
The offensive line for the Jets was a significant issue heading into the season, and it showed early on. According to PFF’s Sam Monson, the Jets allowed more pressures on the first drive than the Green Bay Packers did all game against the Chicago Bears.

Rodgers crashed and had to depart on a cart. Zach Wilson, the backup, took over. Rodgers had only completed one pass.
Packers fans are paying careful attention to the game for several reasons. It’s not just Rodgers’ first game since leaving Green Bay, but his snap count has a direct bearing on the Packers’ 2024 selection pick.
The Packers will receive a first-round pick if Rodgers plays 65% of the Jets’ snaps this season. Otherwise, it is merely a second-round pick.

Early in the third quarter, the Packers trailed the Bears 20-0. Rodgers returned to the game and transformed himself into a superhero, leading the Packers to an all-time great comeback victory.
