UNBELIEVABLE; Report appeared Braves’ Double-A Affiliate is moving to Columbus, Georgia in 2025.

The Mississippi Braves will play their final season.

A few weeks ago, reports surfaced that Columbus, Georgia was in the process of considering becoming the new home of a minor league baseball franchise in the near future. The Mississippi Braves were among the clubs listed. The Mississippi Braves confirmed Tuesday that their new home will be Columbus beginning in 2025:

As a result, the Braves’ Double A club will play its final season in the Pearl/Jackson, Mississippi area. The 2024 season will mark the Braves Double A team’s 20th season in Pearl. This will also be their last season in Mississippi.

Many of the Atlanta Braves’ top players, both now and in the last two decades, have previously played for the Mississippi Braves. Brian Snitker was the Mississippi Braves’ manager during their inaugural season in 2005. Over time, the have won two league championships, the most recent in 2021.
