In a statement released last night, Thames Valley Police stated: “Our officers are currently in Pangbourne dealing with two incidents.”Following an automobile collision, the A340 at the Flowers Hill and Tidmarsh Road intersection is closed to traffic.Tragically, the woman who had been treated at the scene passed away.
At about the same time, there was an incident at Pangbourne Station on the railway line.

This morning, the British Transport Police declared that someone had passed away on the railroad tracks.
In a statement, BTP stated: “Officers were called to the line near Pangbourne railway station to reports of a casualty on the tracks yesterday, January 4, at 6:11 p.m.”A person was declared dead at the scene, and paramedics were also called.
“Thames Valley Police and British Transport Police are collaborating closely to determine the circumstances surrounding their death.”

Additionally, beginning at 8:05 p.m., the National Police Air Service helicopter was seen circling above the station for about thirty minutes.

A Reading FC employee is banned from touchlines for two games.

Josh Bowen, the head of sport science at Reading, was fined £500 and given a two-match touchline ban for using “abusive” language towards an official during the Reading match against Port Vale.
Josh Bowen, the son of Mark Bowen, the director of football operations, is frequently spotted on the field warming up and cooling down with the team.
Because of his actions on Saturday, January 13, the Football Association sent him off and filed charges against him earlier this month.

A spokesperson for the FA said: “Reading FC’s Head of Sports Science, Josh Bowen, has been banned from the touchline for two matches and fined £500 for a breach of FA Rule E3.1 following their EFL League One fixture against Port Vale FC on Saturday 13 January 2024.”It was claimed that he insulted and/or used abusive language toward a match official after play was suspended, which resulted in his termination. It was further claimed that he behaved improperly and/or spoke rudely and/or abusively to a match official after being fired.”
