Awaiting return of goalie Joseph Woll: Sheldon Keefe of the Maple Leafs provides an update on Woll’s injury

Coach Sheldon Keefe of the Toronto Maple Leafs provided an update on injured goalie Joseph Woll. Woll was regarded as week-to-week after sustaining a high ankle sprain on December 7 against the Ottawa Senators.
Many fans were curious as to when Woll would make a comeback, considering it has been almost two months since the injury. But Keefe provided an update on his goalie prior to Monday night’s game against Toronto, and it was not a good one.

It’s doubtful if Woll will be able to make a comeback before the season ends because he has been out for a few weeks. Still, there was hope that the goalie might make a quick comeback because he was skating during the All-Star break.
Toronto has turned to Martin Jones, who they signed to a one-year contract this off-season, in place of Woll. With the Maple Leafs, Jones is 9-6-1 with a 2.64 GAA and a.911 SV%.
