Break News: Boston Celtics reunion completely out of…….

Danilo Gallinari is set to become a free agent again after The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the Pistons had waived the former Boston Celtics free agency prize on February 8. Once he clears waivers, Gallinari will likely have a robust market. Even if he’s not the consistent 20-point scorer he was at the top of his game, Gallinari has proven that he’s still capable of being a flamethrower in his brief time in Motown

Gallo’s injury record is so extensive it may put the Great Wall of China to shame, but despite this, his current sample size is modest and he has remained a legitimate player. Despite his defensive shortcomings, the Rooster is still a floor-stretching big man that his opponents can’t look away from. Understanding what he contributes and how inexpensive he would be, any team fighting for a championship would jump at the chance to add him. Now that it’s all out there, would the Celtics be interested in him?

It’s difficult to understand why he wouldn’t, given that he has been with the team for nearly ten years. The Celtics have been interested in him since Steve Bulpett revealed in 2015 that the team had discussed acquiring him from the Nuggets. From that point on, they made several attempts to sign him until they eventually succeeded in 2022, but we all know what happened after that. Kurt Helin of NBC Sports reports that the team is open to a reunion, but the real question is whether the feelings are shared.
