After the major junior hockey team’s practice on Thursday, Pierce told CTV News Edmonton, “It just makes sense to mandate the wearing of neck guards.” “These kids have very much worn them their entire lives, so it’s an easy addition when they go into our league. We wholeheartedly endorse it, and it’s the correct thing to do to keep our athletes safe.”
