Should the Dallas Cowboys sign NFL Free Agent and Pro Bowl passer Za’Darius Smith?

Which group is aware of which player? Which player has a favorite team? Exist a relationship with a coach, an agency, or a hometown?
We recall that Za’Darius Smith released a statement expressing his interest in Dallas back in March 2022, following a report from CowboysSI.com that the team was considering Smith.
What goals did the Cowboys have in mind at the time? An inexpensive means of “flirting with Za’Darius Smith… with a rebound from the Randy Gregory fiasco,” as we put it.
What took place? The pass-rusher Smith was enticed to join with the Minnesota Vikings by a $14 million APY, but that was never going to be the case, according to sources who spoke with CowboysSI.com.
In the end, the former fifth-round choice of the Ravens, who impressed there with 5.5 sacks as a rookie in 2015 and then had an 8.5-sack season in 2018, wound up in a cheap deal with the Browns, where he was a full-time starter the previous season.
Alright, so. The “dots” are ill-defined. However, Zimmer and McCarthy clearly know him. Will McClay, the personnel boss, was also fond of him.
And now that Cowboys defensive ends Dante Fowler Jr. and Dorance Armstrong are set to enter free agency, is it possible that the 31-year-old, 6-4, 275-pound Smith may receive another look?
