Before Aston Villa vs. Tottenham, Unai Emery informs the status of Ramsey, Torres, and McGinn’s injuries.

Unai Emery, the head coach of Aston Villa, has not ruled out Jacob Ramsey playing against Tottenham on Sunday.

Due to a foot injury, the midfield player was hobbled off during Villa’s 3-2 victory against Luton Town last weekend. Ramsey attempted to play on at first, but in the 29th minute, Morgan Rogers replaced him.Jacob Ramsey missed Aston Villa's Europa Conference League clash with Ajax through injury

After that, he was unable to go to Amsterdam for Villa’s Europa Conference League round of 16 match against Ajax. However, Emery has made hints that he might make a comeback to play Spurs.

Ramsey’s ability to play was questioned, and Emery responded, “Tomorrow we will train for the last time in the week and we will wait for tomorrow.”

Pau Torres was substituted at halftime during the tie with Ajax, but Emery had to manage his fitness due of recent injury issues. Emery decided not to risk it with his captain when he experienced a minor ache during Wednesday morning’s training, and John McGinn entered the game in the second half.

“We trained this morning recovering with the players who played yesterday,” Emery said. “Pau Torres and John McGinn, they will be available for Sunday.”

Spurs are presently five points behind fourth-placed Villa in the league, but have a game in hand away at Chelsea. This afternoon’s league victory would give Villa, led by Emery, an eight-point lead in the top four.
