KCTV/AP/Gray News – Tyler, Texas According to court paperwork, Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback who is headed to the Super Bowl, was taken into custody on Sunday in Smith County, Texas, on suspicion of “driving while intoxicated, third or more.”
According to the documents, Mahomes Sr. was given a 40-day jail sentence after being busted for a second DUI in 2018.
His bond was set at $10,000, according to the Associated Press, and he was freed on Sunday, per jail records.
An inquiry for comment was not immediately answered by Mahomes Sr.’s lawyer.
