SO SAD: Alabama Crimson Tides Ty Simpsons career in jeopardy as club contemplates dumping him over severe lifetime injury…

QB Ty Simpson of Alabama Will Return in 2024

Many college football quarterbacks use the transfer portal era to abandon their first school and transfer out if they don’t start playing right away. Ty Simpson, the quarterback for Alabama, won’t experience that.

Simpson’s father verified several rumors that he would rejoin the Crimson Tide in 2024 that arose on Wednesday in a TideIllustrated story.

Former 5-star recruit Simpson faced up against Jalen Milroe for the starting quarterback position as a redshirt freshman this past season. In the end, Simpson was not hired, but he played the most in Alabama’s road triumph over South Florida. He relieved Tyler Buchner in the tying game and helped the Crimson Tide win narrowly.

Simpson was the team’s QB2 for the remainder of the season. In six games this season, he completed 11 of 21 passes for 179 passing yards.

Simpson will have every opportunity to battle and earn his spot, even though it is anticipated that Milroe, who placed sixth in the 2023 Heisman Trophy vote, will start for the team in the opening game.

With the return of Milroe and Simpson along with the addition of 5-star recruit Julian Sayin, who enrolled early and practiced with the team during bowl week, Alabama’s 2024 quarterback room appears to be among the best in the nation.

Eli Holstein, a freshman who accessed the transfer portal earlier on Wednesday, will not be in the Crimson Tide quarterback room for the upcoming campaign.
