Choosing the moral high ground
Mason Rudolph isn’t expressing any resentment at all over the Steelers’ decision to switch quarterbacks this offseason, or about anything else that occurred while he was a player for the team.
Rudolph said Pittsburgh and the Steelers organization farewell on Instagram last week, shortly after inking a deal to head to Tennessee in free agency.
On Wednesday, Rudolph agreed to a $3.62 million, one-year contract with the Titans. He’s going there to challenge Will Levis for the starting position.
At the beginning of free agency, Rudolph, 28, looked to be a contender to return for at least a seventh season after spending six with the Steelers. However, after Russell Wilson signed a deal with the Steelers, it seemed that Rudolph would just be the backup quarterback to him and Kenny Pickett. However, two days after Rudolph left for Nashville, Pickett was dealt to Philadelphia.
The Steelers then acquired Justin Fields through a trade.

Concerning the receiver
Mike Williams, a wide receiver with the Los Angeles Chargers, was a target for the Steelers. However, he made the decision to join the New York Jets.
During the first two or three rounds of the draft, the Steelers might attempt to select a receiver, even if they aren’t able to get one in free agency.
According to Jim Nagy of the Senior Bowl, Steelers wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni attended Texas’ pro day. It was there that Jordan Whittington, Adonai Mitchell, and Xavier Worthy, three Longhorn pass catchers, were on exhibit. ESPN.com ranks 6-foot-2, 205-pound Mitchell as the 20th-best prospect in the NFL Draft.
