JUST IN: Newcastle United Ace Player Alexander Isak Is Out On…

Alexander Isak might return from injury for Newcastle’s matchup with Arsenal.

According to head coach Eddie Howe, Newcastle United may be ready to welcome Alexander Isak back into the fold before this weekend’s Premier League matchup with Arsenal.

Joe Willock, who is expected to be eligible for selection when the St. James’ Park team travels to north London, is another injury boost for the Magpies.

Due to a number of injuries and suspensions, Newcastle’s performance has declined recently. The North East team hopes to qualify for Europe in 2024–2025. Isak may make a comeback to the starting lineup at the Emirates Stadium after missing the better part of a month due to a groin injury at the end of January.

Isak is expected to rejoin Newcastle
Additionally, Willock might rejoin the Magpies team.

Newcastle’s injury record has been unlucky lately, as they have had multiple important players miss time due to personal aches and pains. Isak suffered a groin injury just before the half in Newcastle’s 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on January 30, necessitating his substitution.

Since then, the striker has not played a single minute of football as the Magpies closely watch his comeback. Howe had hinted last week that Isak might miss Newcastle’s matchup with AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League on February 17. The Sweden international duly skipped Howe’s team’s 2-2 draw on another frustrating afternoon.

Willock, on the other hand, has been sidelined for nearly two months due to an Achilles injury sustained in November 2023. The 24-year-old’s recovery has taken longer than expected, since he had originally planned to resume competition in January. If nothing changes during training, Howe has intimated that Isak and Willock might be included in the Newcastle team against Arsenal tomorrow. During his press conference prior to the game, Howe stated:

It has been nice to see them back on the grass as they have trained this week. For Joe, it’s been a while (Willock). He is essential to our team. We are happy to have him back in the organization. He is one of the team’s most well-liked members.
