REPORT: Simon Kjaer To Permanently Replace Davide Calabria Injury Intensify…

Due to an injury sustained against Napoli during Sunday night’s Serie A match, Davide Calabria will miss at least two AC Milan games.

Stefano Pioli will need to find other options for the Rossoneri’s starting right back in the Europa League against Rennes and the Serie A match against Monza, as reported by Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan).

Although his injury is the 34th Milan players have suffered this season, and the 23rd of a muscular nature, more assessments regarding his condition will be conducted next week to determine whether any more games need to be added to that list.

Simon Kjaer is also injured and is not anticipated to be ready to start on Thursday against Rennes, which will only cause more suffering.

That means Theo Hernandez will have to move back to centre-back alongside Matteo Gabbia, with Alessandro Florenzi replacing Calabria at right-back. Filippo Terracciano will likely start at left-back for the first time. Malick Thiaw is not far away from returning now which will settle the situation, but Monza seems the earliest that he will be involved given his long spell out.

Leao Must Use Portugal Boost And Lead Milan To Victory Against Fiorentina

Rafael Leao, who opened the score with a beautiful shot last night in Portugal’s 5-2 victory over Sweden, was among the team’s top players. He now has to make the most of this advantage to help AC Milan defeat Fiorentina.

The season has been unpredictable, with a goal drought in the league from September to February. Furthermore, he hasn’t always been that reliable in the play as a whole, which has left the supporters and himself extremely frustrated.
