SO AMAZING: Lewis MacLeod Is Back After Nine Years, Takes A Differrent Role…

Lewis MacLeod completes his poignant nine-year Rangers comeback in a new position.

Nine years after leaving Ibrox, MacLeod is back, and he hopes to leave his imprint once more, this time as a coach.

Nine years after leaving the Rangers to pursue his coaching career at a place he feels comfortable, Lewis MacLeod is back.

The 29-year-old was compelled to retire early in 2022 because to a string of severe injuries that prevented him from playing further. A 2015 transfer to Brentford marked the end of his stint as an Ibrox academy product. Under Ally McCoist, he played a significant role in the team’s ascent up the leagues. However, injuries marred his tenure in the South, and MacLeod continued to play occasionally for Plymouth Argyle and Wigan until formally announcing his retirement in 2022.

He has since returned to coaching at Brentford, where he worked with the under-14 team, but he is now back at Ibrox. He has informed Philippe Clement and his staff that he is willing to take on any duty that is requested of him, therefore he is hopeful that it will lead to a promotion up the coaching levels. He stated on the team’s website: “I’m glad to be back. You must, of course, shift your perspective from that of a player to that of a coach, but ever since I returned, everyone has greeted me with open arms.

This is a really fun aspect of football for me. With the 14s, where I work part-time, we practice three times a week and play a game on the weekend, generally on a Sunday. I am concentrating on that age range, but I am willing to assist if required elsewhere, and I am having a great time.

“I always wanted to be a coach, but I didn’t plan to resign as soon as I did. It is undoubtedly difficult to resign from competition at the age of 29, but it is also advantageous to go into coaching so rapidly. I’m hoping that this will help me in the years to come. I’m excited for the remainder of the season because you learn something new here every day. I’m going to savor each moment and follow my path.
