Report: Steelers Playoff Game Could Be Postponed Second Time

Pittsburgh The weather-related postponement of the Pittsburgh Steelers Wild Card game versus the Buffalo Bills has caused it to be moved from Sunday afternoon to Monday. However, the NFL may relocate it again because of the hazardous winds and lake effect snow that Orchard Park is experiencing, according to The Athletic.

It states that Tuesday is “still a potential option to play this game, according to one league and one government source.”
Due to weather that is expected to affect the city, New York Governor Kathy Hochul stated that the game would be moved to Monday at 4:30 p.m. ET. Due to the hazardous travel conditions expected over the next 24 to 48 hours, there will be a travel restriction starting at 9 p.m. on Saturday night. AccuWeather predicts a high of 21 degrees on Monday in Buffalo, along with strong gusts and one to three inches of lake-effect snow. The game may be postponed to a later date if travel is still deemed to be too risky.

It’s unclear if the alteration would necessitate modifications to the playoffs’ Divisional round. The Steelers would play the Ravens in Baltimore if they prevail.
The Steelers had not departed Pittsburgh as of the postponement. The Athletic reports that the club will depart for Buffalo on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
