The 32-year-old defender, who suffered knee injury and a fractured femur during a match against Manchester City in April 2022, announced his retirement.

Dallas and Grealish clashed during the match against Pep Guardiola’s team. It was later discovered that Dallas’ injury was more serious than first believed, thus he had surgery after being stretchered off the field.

Dallas tried to get back to training this season and had many surgeries, but he was never able to become well enough to participate in a competitive game. Two years after the event, the Leeds star with Grealish, stating that he had no animosity toward the English international, he decided to retire.

Dallas said, “Listen, it’s part of football. No bitterness.” in an interview with the Mirror. I think I entered the challenge a lot and just attempted to intercept the ball, but Jack has definitely seen me.

“He’s been great, honestly, that first week he contacted me a few times and you never know down the line I’ll probably share a drink with him at some stage – and we both like our drinks at the right time,” Dallas continued, thanking Grealish for his support.

Dallas, who played a variety of positions on the pitch in 267 games for Leeds during a nine-year period, will be remembered for his important contributions to the group’s performance while playing for Bielsa.
