Just Now: Liverpool United Ace Announces Retirement Date Ahead Of…

According to Alan Brazil, the players at Liverpool prefer the 41-year-old to Ruben Amorim as their future manager.

The Anfield players seem to have an opinion about who should be the future manager of Liverpool, a move that is still in progress.

Alan Brazil says Liverpool players want 41-year-old as new manager instead of Ruben Amorim

It was stated back in January by Jurgen Klopp that he will be leaving his position at the end of the current campaign. The football community was stunned by such statement.

Michael Edwards has returned to FSG, while Richard Hughes has assumed the role of sporting director. It is not an easy undertaking, but the two of them are cooperating to locate a new management.

Although Ruben Amorim appears to be the front-runner for the Liverpool position, the team’s players would prefer a different manager.

Who the Liverpool players want to coach them next is revealed by Alan Brazil.

The departure of Jurgen Klopp is devastating for Liverpool.

The club’s face is the German. He has performed well throughout the years, and Liverpool’s ranking among the top teams in the world is largely down to him.

Xabi Alonso, the Reds’ top target, has regretfully said that he would not be joining them this summer, despite their best efforts to find a new manager.

Since then, a lot of well-known candidates have been connected to Liverpool for the soon-to-be open managerial position at Anfield, with Ruben Amorim emerging as their top choice.

The 39-year-old’s performance at Sporting Lisbon has been amazing. This season, his team is the favorite to win the Portuguese League.

This summer, Amorim will undoubtedly be in demand, and Liverpool is obviously intrigued in him. But in reality, their athletes have feelings for someone else.

Following up on Amorim’s previous remarks in which he stated that he hasn’t had any discussions with Liverpool or any other club, Alan Brazil disclosed that the players actually favor Pepijn Lijnders.

“I’ll support Pep, Klopp’s backup. Brazil asserted this morning on the TalkSPORT Breakfast Show, “That’s who I am told the players want.”

Lijnders has been with Jurgen Klopp since the German’s first day at Liverpool. He spent five months away as the manager of NEC Nijmegen in 2018 but returned to Anfield soon after.

Liverpool, however, have confirmed that along with Klopp, Lijnders will also be leaving the club at the end of this season.

Pepijn Lijnders has already shared his stance on becoming next Liverpool manager

Jurgen Klopp has been such a big success at Liverpool. Appointing him is arguably the club’s best decision in about two decades.

Replacing the German now is a monumental task for those in charge. They are looking at a number of names for the job, but who better than the man who knows everything about Klopp?

Pepijn Lijnders knows exactly what’s required to be successful at Liverpool, and if the players really want him as their next manager, we understand why.

However, the 41-year-old has already made it clear that he will not succeed Klopp this summer. He wants to become a manager elsewhere.

He said in February: “We knew already in the summer that we are coming toward the end of this project. The last years, I got offers. My heart always said yes, my loyalty and my respect and friendship with Mike and Jurgen said no.

“So, the moment we spoke and he (Klopp) said ‘I’m thinking about (leaving)’ I said that is, for me, clear: I will go and manage. We will end this project together. I feel that it’s the project of a lot of people and I feel that it’s the right way to do it, like this.

“The club can find a new coach with new elements. But I’m excited to manage, I’m excited to go, to find the right club who really wants (me). But until the last final of the season, I’m focused on Liverpool, not on what’s happening now. That’s why we have agents, no?”
