Baltimore Ravens Eric DeCosta: We Brought Him Back At Last…

Eric DeCosta: Bringing back Kyle Van Noy excited us much.

Linebacker Kyle Van Noy re-signed with the Ravens last week on a two-year contract after recording a career-high 9.0 sacks with the team the previous season.

The Ravens are happy that Van Noy will remain with the team, General Manager Eric DeCosta said at his pre-draft news conference on Tuesday.

“To start with, we were thrilled to have Kyle back,” DeCosta remarked. “We had a great experience with Kyle last year, and I believe he would agree.” He is undoubtedly a player who has really aided us. I adore his leadership style, approach, aggressiveness, and adaptability as a player. I believe having a veteran in the room is fantastic.

Recently 33 years old in March, Van Noy has stated that he agreed with the Ravens’ strategy from the previous season and claimed to have “had [his] eyes set on this place the whole time.”

The linebacker totaled 30 tackles with nine tackles for loss, four passes defensed, and a pair of forced fumbles in 14 games for Baltimore last year.

In 10 seasons, Van Noy has recorded 42.5 sacks, 56 tackles for loss, and 72 quarterback hits for the Lions, Patriots, Dolphins, Chargers, and Ravens.
