A 36-year-old former LSU Tiger football standout passed away.
Rahim Alem, a former standout defensive end for LSU, passed away over the weekend, according to The Advocate.
Alem was regarded as one of the top defensive prospects out of the SEC in 2009 while he was a student at LSU from 2006 to 2009. Alem was always a lot of fun to watch and had an electrifying presence on the field.

Chad Jones, the brother of Rahim Alem, was an LSU baseball and football player that most fans will remember. During their time at LSU, the two were teammates.
The Advocate’s story states that “Alem, whose given name was Alfred Marvin Jones Jr., legally changed his name to Rahim Akil Alem, which is part Swahili and part Arabic, as an acknowledgment of his African heritage.”

The nation’s economy appeared to be improving when President Franklin D. The country had another economic crisis in 1937, which resulted in an increase in unemployment. Gas prices were comparatively high as a result of several federal economic choices that affected inflation, such as the adoption of a contractionary monetary policy.
