News Now: Oklahoma Sooners QB Jackson Arnold’s Contract On The Line As QB Coach Seth Littrell Declares Him ”Not Capable Enough For…

Could Jackson Arnold emerge as Oklahoma’s next great quarterback?

There’s a lot of pressure to start as quarterback for a blue-blood school. It’s a different species entirely to be the starting quarterback at a place like Oklahoma, especially with its recent success.

Jackson Arnold is entering that role. Josh Heupel, Jason White, Sam Bradford, Baker Mayfield, Landry Jones, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, and Dillon Gabriel are the players he is monitoring.

That doesn’t even take into account the players that were signed before the year 2000 or even very skilled players like Caleb Williams and Spencer Rattler who ended up playing for other teams.

Arnold talked on how important it was to him while deciding to go to Oklahoma.

Arnold stated, “It definitely impacted my decision.” “What really stood out to me was knowing the caliber of QBs who came before me and knowing that I wanted to be a part of that group.” It goes without saying that I want to join and follow in the footsteps of the Heisman winners. This is where I was meant to be.

Arnold needs to avoid trying to emulate them too much and allowing that pressure to affect him. He only needs to be himself instead. It’s what made him a five-star candidate. That explains why Arnold has such high hopes.

He possesses every skill needed to succeed as a collegiate quarterback. However, a great deal of there is more to playing the position than just looking at the box score or the scouting report. However, Jackson Arnold has demonstrated early in his career that he can overcome hardship. He is composed of the proper elements. It will be in 2024 when Arnold has his breakthrough year.
