Hogs Welcome Two More Transfer Players

This week, Arkansas is anticipated to welcome two additional linebackers.

Louisville-transfer On Wednesday, Jaylin Alderman and Anthony Switzer, a transfer from Utah State, are anticipated to arrive in Fayetteville for formal visits.

This past season, Alderman, who is 6-1 and weighs 230 pounds, started 13 games and recorded 58 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. Shortly after logging into the NCAA transfer site on Monday morning, he received an offer from the Hogs.

He was a three-star recruit by most when he was a senior at Valdosta, Georgia, for the 2021 class. There are still two years left on his eligibility.

After compiling 85 tackles, 3 sacks, 8 tackles for loss, 4 pass breakups, an interception, and a fumble recovery in 11 starts in 12 games, Switzer, 6-0, 215 pounds, was named honorable mention All-Mountain West. On Monday, he also went via the transfer site.

Before moving to Utah State, he spent three seasons playing for Arkansas State, where he recorded 91 tackles, four tackles for loss, throughout 24 games, with 15 starts, he recorded 4 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and pass breakups.

Before signing with Arkansas State, Switzer played at Marion, as he verified on his visit to the state.

Last week, the Hogs hosted two linebackers, including Larry Worth, a transfer from Jacksonville State who committed to Arkansas on Saturday.

Transfer from North Carolina to Charlotte Nikhai Hill-Green went to Fayetteville as well before traveling to Colorado.

Later this week, Transfer DT is anticipated to visit the Hogs.

Another transfer defensive tackle is anticipated to pay Arkansas an official visit on Friday and Saturday.

Elinus Noel III, a 6-2, 330-pound defensive tackle for Texas Southern, has offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas State, Maryland, Arizona State, and Temple in addition to the one he earned last Thursday.

On April 16, he declared that he will be using the NCAA transfer site.

Over the course of 10 games last year, he recorded 52 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks as a junior. In 2021, as a senior at New Orleans’ John Curtis High School, he signed a letter of intent with Nichols State.

As a rookie for the Colonels in 2021, Noel totaled 18 tackles and 2 tackles for loss. Before transferring, he has 35 tackles and 3 tackles for loss in 2022, Texas Southern is the destination.
