Crystal Palace’s most-used Premier League XI ft Zaha and 2 current Eagles stars

Although they haven’t quite made it to the top of the Premier League, Crystal Palace has been a reliable team in the top division of English football for the past ten years. With no immediate plans to leave the league, the Eagles have shown to be a reliable team over the years. The team has also had a sizable group of players truly create a history at Selhurst Park in the division after more than a few years in the Premier League.
But which players for Palace have participated in the most league matches? Here is an XI of the players who have played in the league more than any other for the team. The appearances are accurate as of October 9, 2023.

Vicente Guaita became the first goalkeeper at Crystal Palace after joining in 2018, eventually making more Premier League appearances than any other goalie in the team’s history. He was the team’s 2021 Player of the Year and a reliable choice between the sticks.
He publicly criticized the team on social media after Sam Johnstone beat him for the starting spot last year. He then left in the summer to join Celta Vigo in Spain. His 150th appearance in England’s top division was just one appearance away.

Joel Ward is one of the few players in Palace’s history to have contributed in such a way to the team. The full-back, who has been at Selhurst Park since 2012, was instrumental in the team’s promotion to the premier league. Since then, he has continued to play a significant role for the squad, and with Wilfried Zaha’s departure (more on him later), he will most likely become the player with the most Premier League appearances for Palace in the club’s history.
