Reo Hatte, a midfielder for Celtic, won’t play until after Christmas.Tests have shown that the Japan international sustained serious hamstring damage in the opening minute of last week’s Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid.
Celtic has 12 games left until Christmas, three of which are in the Champions League, therefore the 25-year-old will miss a significant portion of the campaign.
On Boxing Day, the Hoops play Rangers before hosting Dundee four days later. Given that Celtic’s trip to St. Mirren on January 2 is followed by the winter break, Hatate might miss a significant amount of time.
“It’s a disappointment for him,” Rodgers continued. Despite having a somewhat rough start to the season, this will undoubtedly get him above the halfway mark in the league.”He finds it quite aggravating, especially since he truly dedicates himself to his work and his game. He attempts to do everything perfectly.
Hatate lost a month of action due to a calf injury earlier this season, and he also missed six weeks due to a hamstring ailment in his opposite leg at the close of the previous campaign. Celtic will therefore take all necessary steps to guarantee Hatate’s long-term return to fitness.
That’s the perfect situation, according to Rodgers. “It’s just investigating everything he is doing outside of here as well as here and trying to piece it all together.”Unfortunately, some athletes are just not able to stay active because of their collagen, which makes them prone to numerous ailments and physical problems.
