Jason Kidd signs a multi-year deal with the Dallas Mavericks - Basketball  Spheremultiyear contract extension.
Mavericks governor Patrick Dumont said in a statement, “We are thrilled to have Coach Kidd continue to lead our team throughout the coming years with this well-earned contract extension.” “Kidd led our team to two playoff appearances in three seasons, and we are looking forward to his leadership in continuing to build and grow this already great franchise.”

After a Hall of Fame playing career and assistant coaching stints with the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers, Kidd is currently in his third season with the Mavericks.
In his first season as Dallas’ head coach, 2021–22, he assisted in leading the Mavs to a 52–30 record and a trip to the Western Conference finals. After an unpredictable 2022–23 season, the squad finished with a 38–44 record and missed the playoffs.
This season, Kidd and the Mavs made it back to the postseason, eliminating the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round with a 114-101 victory in Game 6 on Friday in Dallas.
