Breaking News: Jim Goodwin praises the creativity, delivery, and international caliber of the new star as Dundee United finalizes the signing of Kristijan Trapanovski.

North Macedonian winger Kristijan Trapanovski has officially joined Dundee United.

In late May, news broke in Trapanovski’s native country that the Tangerines were interested in the 24-year-old former FK Shkupi star.

The wide player has now signed a two-year contract at Tannadice with a three-year option, closing the agreement about a month later.

Bojan Miovski, who was recruited to Aberdeen by United manager Jim

The potential wide player was signed by Czech powerhouse Slavia Prague in the summer of 2017, and he went on to play on loan in both Slovakia and Czechia, spending time with United’s erstwhile European rivals Tatran Prešov. During his early years, Trapanovski’s best experience with consistent activity was on the international scene, when he was captained 33 times by his nation at the U18 and U21 levels.
The former North Macedonian U/21 internationalist is Bojan Miovski’s compatriot, having been signed by Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin in 2022.

After leaving the Czech capital, he spent a further year with Akademija Pandev, where he scored his first goal as a senior, before joining FK Shkupi of the Prva Liga. Trapanovski has been identified as one of Macedonian football’s most promising players after 101 games.

Shkupi’s first-ever Macedonian championship was won in 2021–2022, and our new number seven contributed four goals and four assists while appearing in all but one of their league games. After this victory, he had his first taste of European competition as he played in Europa League Qualifying against Shamrock Rovers and UEFA Champions

panovski scored six goals and set up six more for his teammates last season, making it his most productive season to date. Analyzing his efforts analytically, he made the most crucial passes every 90 minutes, tried 70 more dribbles than any other player in the Prva Liga, and took 30 shots in open play.

AN INTRIGUING CREATIVITY SPARK
Jim Goodwin, the manager of United, commented on the caliber of his sixth summer addition, saying: “I’m thrilled to have It was wonderful to see Kristijan in the building this morning for the training group. We have been anxiously awaiting his arrival for a few weeks.

He has an exciting spark of creativity, top-class delivery into the area and a ruthless finishing touch, all whilst maintaining a healthy work ethic. Kristijan also has extensive experience on the European stage, and looks set to break into the North Macedonian senior setup imminently – exactly the type of pedigree we look for when bringing a player to the club.

WHAT WE REQUIRE WITHIN THE SQUAD

Head of Recruitment, Michael Cairney, added: “Kristijan is a player we have been tracking for an extended period of time. Both his player profile and character are very much suited to what we require within the squad and I look forward to seeing his impact.

“The hard work continues behind the scenes and we look forward to unveiling new additions to the squad soon.”

I have heard nothing but wonderful things about our sponsors.
The 24-year-old concluded by saying, “I feel so happy; this is a huge opportunity for me.” Today was my first training session, and I had an amazing experience with the personnel, my teammates, and the facilities.

Since football is for the supporters, I believe I will appreciate the Scottish support. I’m excited about the inaugural Dundee Derby since I’ve heard nothing but positive things about Dundee United supporters.”
