Coventry City have made two new development signings, adding Cambridge United duo Kai Yearn and Greg Sandiford to the club’s Under-21s squad.

Yearn is a 19-year-old midfielder who made his debut for the U’s at the age of 16, scoring in a 4-1 win over Oxford United in the EFL Trophy to become the club’s youngest scorer in the process.

He went on to make seven appearances for Cambridge United, before departing at the end of the 2023/24 season. The teenager also had spells out on loan in the National League South and North at Chelmsford City and King’s Lynn Town, respectively.

Earlier in his career, Sandiford spent a term on loan with Biggleswade Town, where he gained first team experience and minutes to help with his growth. During the 2023–24 season, he was likewise not utilised as a substitute for the Cambridge first team.
