When the two teams faced off on Wednesday (October 4), the goalie was found to have missed a clear-cut chance for Patrick Bamford to score.

Replays, however, demonstrated that no contact had occurred.

Lyndon Dykes, a forward for QPR, was compelled to fill in between the pipes as the clock ran out on Leeds, who won 1-0.

Begovic won’t be suspended and will be eligible to play against Blackburn Rovers for QPR.

An FA spokesperson said: “Asmir Begovic will be available for Queens Park Rangers’ next game as a claim of wrongful dismissal has been upheld by an independent Regulatory Commission.

“The goalkeeper was sent off against Leeds United on Wednesday, October 4 2023, for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity.”
